Why we built Tooti
Tooti started with a simple question: why do people who studied a language for years still freeze in a real conversation?
A freeze we all know
Most of us memorised verb tables, passed multiple-choice tests and reviewed hundreds of flashcards. Then, on a first trip abroad or in a video call at work, someone asked a simple question and our minds went blank.
It was never a lack of talent. We had been trained to pass written tests, while conversation is a fast, spoken skill.
The answer was in the data
When we studied real speech, the pattern was clear: in every language, a few hundred words make up most of what people say. And people speak in ready-made chunks, not words assembled from scratch.
So we built a parrot
Parrots don’t study grammar. They listen, repeat and then talk. Tooti brings that natural order to a light, friendly app: hear it, understand it, use it.
